Waiting for the Herd, Dusk Suri Cattle Camp by John Rowe

Waiting for the Herd, Dusk Suri Cattle Camp

A Suri boy watches as the cattle herd approaches the camp for the night. The "cowboys" will light small fires all around the camp, which the cows will gather around for the night - both for warmth but also to escape the insects, which are deterred by smoke from the fires.
