Shaft Entrance-Ghana
The gangs divide into teams-digging in shafts up to 300 feet underground, taking the ore out of the earth and transporting the rocks to another location to be punded and cleaned to reveal the gold. The trip down the shaft is precarious; one misstep could be crippling or deadly.
