One Thousand Mile Stare, Gansu by Lisa Kristine

One Thousand Mile Stare, Gansu

The Tibetan nomad’s entire life is spent in the massive landscape of rugged high mountains. Nomads weave and tan sheep and yak skins to make garments that offer protection from the fierce Himalayan winters.  He is constantly moving in nature with his family and livestock, but also spending much time alone. This image conveys to me the meditative and peaceful pause at the close of the day.
