Entire villages have been enslaved for generations in Uttar Pradesh, where people pound rock into sand.  A silent revolution is moving across the region as anti-slavery activists help villagers organize for freedom.  Now entire villages are demanding their rights, standing up to slaveholders and for freedom.  At least 275 former slaves have been elected to public office.
